Zinepop! was my senior thesis project at MIAD. It came to be because I was concerned with answering the question of how to expand the reach of zines beyond their tight knit communities and introduce a new generation of people to the concept of making zines. The solution I decided on was a zine starter kit and website that work together to encourage the growth of zine communities. The kit contains everything you would need to create your own zine and comes in many different editions, each one tailored to a different genre of zine. Featured here are the deluxe, art, and personals editions. An important part of this introduction to zines is that it happens in the real world through the kit, rather than being an exclusively digital experience, and this way the handmade and DIY element of zines is at the forefront of the zinepop brand.
